End Of World War I:
The Treaty Versaillies: A peace treaty made at the end of world war II. The treaty was regestured by the League of Nations and was signed on 28 June 1919 by the Allied powers and Germany at the Palace of Versaillies.
Article 231 the War Guilt Clause:
"The Allied and Associated Governments affirm and Germany accepts the responsibility of Germany and her allies for causing all the loss and damage to which the Allied and Associated Governments and their nationals have been subjected as a consequence of the war imposed upon them by the aggression of Germany and her allies." (Treaty of Versailles, text of Article 231, the "War Guilt Clause")
This says that Germany was responcible for the beginning of the war. The War Guilt Clause was made in order to get France and Belgains to reduce the compencation of the war damages. The Treaty required Germany to pay large repration, and was a leading cause for World War II.
